This book, written by the late African American literary legend E. Lynn Harris, is a classic - hands down. It's definitely not his best work, but it's a very compelling read. His character AJ Richardson is an NBA star who's living the wealthy lifestyle and has found the man of his dreams - his tutor from college. With AJ having such a public career, it's important for their relationship and his sexuality to remain as private as possible. Of course, this doesn't last long when AJ's team mates start to catch on to what's really happening. To dismiss their doubts, AJ marries a woman who knows nothing about his love for men. But eventually she figures it out.
